“Love it or List It,” the HGTV home design reality show, has been in the Triangle to challenge local home owners to “love” their home renovations and stay in their newly-updated homes or “list” them and move on.
Two upcoming homes that have been announced are Inside The Beltline.
The first one is in Mordecai, one of Raleigh’s oldest communities. According to the Triangle Business Journal “The episode highlights the basement renovations of Rodolfo DeMartino, co-owner of Cafe Tiramisu and the North Ridge Pub in northeast Raleigh, and Greg Sims, co-owner of Interactive Fitness Trainers of America.”
Another featured home will be the Phillip L. Rothstein Home home on 912 Williamson Drive in Hayes Barton. Designed by Milton Small and built by Frank Walser, this home is considered one of Raleigh’s modernist masterpieces. According to the North Carolina Modernist Homes Blog, “this could be very good or quite bad for one of North Carolina’s best examples of mid-century Modernism.” The jury is still out, since the project is currently in progress.
We’ll be watching! The Mordecai home’s “Love It or List It” will be airing on June 1.
